Giovanni Fonseca

Giovanni Fonseca arbeitet seit Mai 2021 als Pedagogical Engineer für die European Digital UniverCity (EDUC) Allianz am Zentrum für Qualitätsentwicklung im Lehren und Studium an der Universität Potsdam. Im Rahmen seiner Arbeit berät und unterstützt er Lehrende bei der Konzeption und Umsetzung innovativer Lehr-Lern-Szenarien im Rahmen der Erprobung verschiedener virtueller Mobilitätsformate als Teil der EDUC-Ziele.

Giovanni studierte Elektrotechnik und Elektronik an der Nationalen Autonomen Universität von Mexiko und entdeckte im Alter von 15 Jahren, dass seine wahre Leidenschaft die Bildung war, während er seinen Klassenkameraden half, Mathematik und Physik besser zu verstehen. Seine Erfahrung in diesem Bereich beläuft sich auf mehr als 20 Jahre, in denen er die Möglichkeit hatte, an einer Vielzahl von Projekten teilzunehmen, sowohl in der formalen, nicht-formalen und informellen Bildung; innerhalb verschiedener Bildungsinstitutionen, aber auch Nichtregierungsorganisationen, sowie als selbständiger internationaler Berater für Bildung, Nachhaltigkeit und Digitalisierung.

Seit 2011 ist er Mitglied des internationalen Netzwerks "Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung" (ESD Expert Net), wo er zusammen mit seinen Kollegen das Programm Go! Global für den internationalen virtuellen Schulaustausch koordiniert.

Aus seiner beruflichen Erfahrung heraus hat er eine Bildungsmethodik namens #OrganicLearning entwickelt, die einige Leitlinien für eine Zukunftsbildung enthält.

Giovanni Fonseca has been working since May 2021 as a pedagogical engineer for the European Digital UniverCity (EDUC) alliance at the Centre for Quality Development in Teaching and Learning at the University of Potsdam. As part of his work, he advises and supports educators in the conception and implementation of innovative teaching-learning scenarios in the context of experimenting with various virtual mobility formats as part of the EDUC objectives.

Giovanni studied electrical and electronic engineering at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and discovered at the age of 15 that his true passion was education by helping his classmates to better understand mathematics and physics. His experience in education amounts to more than 20 years, during which he has had the opportunity to participate in a variety of projects, both in formal, non-formal and informal education; within various educational institutions, but also non-governmental organizations, as well as independently as an international consultant in education, sustainability, and digitalization.

Since 2011, he has been a member of the international network for education for sustainable development  ESD Expert Net, where he has coordinated together with his colleagues the Go! Global programme for international virtual school exchanges.

From his professional experience, he has developed an educational methodology called #OrganicLearning, which sets out some guidelines for future-proof education.
